Weetabix On The Go

Weetabix on the Go

Recently we were contacted to see if we would like to review some of Weetabix's new breakfast biscuits. As I don't get much opportunity on a busy morning to have breakfast I decided I would give them a try. I was looking forward to it as I am a keen fan of Weetabix when I do get breakfast.

According to a recent survey around 8 million Brits skip breakfast everyday, I am one of those. A whopping 6 million of us grab something on the go. That equates to 14million of us not sitting down for a proper breakfast or something healthy. Many Brits 'Desk fast' where they are grabbing something quick at the desk at work.

Weetabix on the Go come in a variety of flavours, and each box consists of 5 packs of 4 biscuits. A serving of the four biscuits provide the same fibre, vitamins and minerals as two Weetabix. They have less salt, sugar, fat and saturated fat than the average breakfast biscuit making them more healthier and substantial for a breakfast on the go. As each pack is individually wrapped in the perfect portion sizing it is simple to grab a pack and place it within your bag when your in a rush. I found this a lot easier to carry them around and it would also stop them turning to crumbs in the plastic packaging.

Both Ashley, Jack and I all tried these biscuits. Obviously Jack is unable to give his own opinion on them but I seriously think he enjoyed them from the way he ate a biscuit and came back for more. We were sent a box each of Apple and Fruit and Fibre. Ashley preferred the Apple whilst I preferred the Fruit and Fibre. Overall, the biscuits were very tasty, and did fill a big breakfast gap. The only downside I found is they were a little dry, but this could just be me as again I don't drink a lot and I'm used to milk with my Weetabix. The portion size was appropriate for breakfast and the included benefits are fab for a quick breakfast.

I would certainly recommend Weetabix On The Go to others, especially those like me, who skip breakfast. I feel these are perfect especially for busy people. The RRP of these biscuits is £2.19 and are available from all leading supermarkets.

Please Note. I received these products from Weetabix for the purpose of this review, all opinions and wording are my own
