Since becoming a parent, I look forward to the times when I can have a relaxing bath rather than a quick hop in the shower. However, this doesn't happen all that often as I'm running around after a toddler with a working OH. I was recently sent some little sample goodies from Botanicals for review.
Botanicals started in 2003 in a restored stable in a Leicestershire village. All of their products are inspired by the countryside in which they are produced. Botanicals aim is to provide a range of personal care products which are as close to nature as possible. In 2004, Wendy Stirling launched Botanicals.
The samples I received were Rose Geranium Body Wash, Rose & Camellia Facewash and Lavender Handwash. Each of the products smelt lovely and all reminded me of my Nanna.
The Rose Geranium Body Wash had a gorgeous scent which reminded me of some hand cream my Nanna used to place on my skin when it was dry. This is made with 100% natural and 96% organic ingredients and is palm oil and detergent free. After using this my skin stayed scented for the remainder of the day and it also left my skin feeling really smooth and hydrated.
Rose and Camellia Face Wash again had a lovely smell, I think its the rose sticking out more. This has a texture like a cream, and you only need a little bit for it to go a long way. Again, the scent stayed around and the small sample bottle lasted a few uses so I imagine a bottle would last a long time.
Finally, Lavender Handwash, personally I'm not a fan of lavender as I find the scent overpowering so I gave this one to my Mom to review. Dependant upon how much hand soap you use would depend how long this would last. The feel and texture was lovely and again left our skin feeling smooth after use. There is a really strong Lavender scent which stays around too.
Overall, I have been impressed with this range and will be trying more. I like that the products are organic and have floral scents. I feel like when washing my skin has been hydrated and given a new lease of life.
Please Note. I received 3 sample bottles from Botanicals however, all opinions and wording are my own
