As well as writing this blog, working part-time and entertaining Jack I also run, or attempt to run, two small businesses; Handmade By Zoe and Sweetopia Delights.
Handmade By Zoe began in December 2012 whilst Sweetopia Delights began in June 2013. Both of these business ventures I hope one day can become successful so I can give up my part-time job.
Throughout this business journey I have been through a lot of ups and downs and I'm sure there are more to come. However, this is not just me as all companies both big and small go through this too, especially in the early days.
During this time I've often thought about giving them up but then I'm also giving up my dreams of owning and running and successful business, or two as it seems.
Back in 2013 I was lucky enough to 'meet' a lovely bunch of likeminded business ladies who all run small businesses of a variety of topics. As a group we formed a small business support group to support each other through every business aspect. Since we have all become good friends, we now share lots of other aspects for advice too and often have a good laugh. For me, this has been a fantastic venture and I've received tonnes of advice from these ladies. I don't know where I would be without these ladies as they give so much support.
Now I only think its fair I give all these ladies a mention as it was what I intended this post to be about.
So in alphabetical order...
Hunnybuns Handmade Bracelets
Tara's Little Creations
Treats and Trinklets
Each of these ladies create fantastic pieces of work. They put so much love, care and attention into each piece they make. Most also take bespoke order creations.
There is also The Penguin Network and A Pocketful of Wonderful which as a group we have set up.
I'm a fond believer in supporting small buisnesses, not because I am one but because a lot more love and attention goes into each piece and the service.
