Cake Angels Ice Cream kit Review.

Friday, 20 June 2014
Last month we were sent a fab summer baking kit from Cake Angels, but as life has been so hectic of recent we have only just got round to making them.

Cake Angels sent us one of their Ice Cream Cupcake Kits, now in my head I wasn't entirely sure how or even if this would work.
Within the kit you get 6 wafer ice cream cones, chocolate cake mix, icing sugar and sprinkles the only other necessary items are butter, water and milk.

Now these are extremely simple to make, unless like me your cooking with a 2 year old who's very independent. Everything the toddler didn't do within this baking went pretty smooth it was just the rest.
Simply open the mixture, add 110ml of water and mix until smooth, then divide between the 6 cones equally.
Then place them into a preheated oven for 20-22mins, or until they spring back when pressed. Once cooled, mix the icing sugar with the 60g butter and 1tsp of milk then pipe onto your cones and decorate.

For us, in the photos you will only see 5 cones and one of them being broken, this is as Jack had a pre-bake nibble.
Now the end result and tasting was very unusual with the cake and done but still very yummy. This kit can be purchased for £2.49 which I think is a complete bargain.

Please Note: we received this kit and some decorations for the purpose of this review, all images, wording and opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.

  1. They look great the sort of thing my girls would love.

  2. These look yum! Such a great, fun bake to do with children and a fab price too.
