Wedding Reveal #3

Saturday, 28 June 2014
Its that time of the month again for another reveal of our wedding. We have just 9 months to go now, and I'm really beginning to feel this wedding is flying by, we sorted so much in the early stages, and now we are on little details and things I need to make I feel time is just running away.

I'm struggling to decided what to write about without giving too much away, lets face it, I don't want to go posting my wedding dress for all to see.

Anyway this month has brought me to flowers, flowers were one thing I knew from the beginning what types I would like and the fact I would love real flowers. I was also quite amazed at the price of them compared to what some others are paying.

So my two favourite flowers of all time are Calla Lillie's and Phalaenopsis Orchids, so I just knew these would be the flowers I would want on my wedding day - nothing else would compare for me. Just after we booked the venue, I knew the flower lady I would want to do our flowers so we went to visit her to which she explained I'd picked two of the more expensive flowers to which I shrugged and said ok. We didn't see any other florist to compare prices, we knew this lady did many a wedding and was familiar with our venue. Plus, I'd purchased flowers from her before which were stunning and lasted a while. So we paid our £50 deposit to secure our wedding date and visited her again just over a year after to get an idea of prices.

When thinking about the flowers, I wanted both mine and Ashley's to be different from the rest of the bridal party, this is where the orchids come in. My bouquet and Ashley's button hole would be the only ones including the orchids, whilst the rest of the bridal party would just have calla lilies.

So heres a list of our breakdown of all the flowers which we will include within our wedding day...
Bridal Bouquet - Calla lily in white and phalaenopsis orchids with a touch of grass running through bound in lace.
Bridesmaids - 3 simply tied calla lily bouquets bound in lace.
Grooms Buttonhole - Calla lily with orchid and grass.
Groomsmen - Calla lily buttonholes.
Mothers - Calla lily corsages with bow and diamante.
Ceremony Flowers and Top Table - Calla lilies and orchids with others to compliment, long and low.
Centerpieces - 4 Blow bowls with calla lilies, mocha petals to scatter.
