Summer Infant Super Seat - A Review

We spend a lot of time between two houses with the children, spending most of the time at home but visiting grandparents on the weekend. Jack has his own toys there but Isla has nothing, I will often take a selection for her to play with but she has no where to sit upright, she's a nosey baby. So when we were given the opportunity to review the Summer Infant Super Seat I knew it would be perfect to take there.

Initially we built it and tried it out at home; placing it together was incredibly simple. The seat comes pre-assembled ready for the younger age and you simply build the ring which is simple, place it on and slot the toys into. You then have a removable section at the front which allows you to easily place your baby inside.

After building it I placed Isla inside to try it out. I don't think she particularly liked it at first, however we kept trying it on different occasions and now she absolutely loves it! I'm not sure if the initial doubts were towards the seat or that she was tired.

The activity tray rotates 360 degrees and has a range of toys on or a plain tray area in whcih allows you to place your own toys on or even pop some snacks on for snack-time. There are four interactive toys included, which Isla has particularly taken a liking to the bunny whilst teething.

I really like this seat, its not only a seat in which they can use when younger but it grows with them too. You begin with the soft foam support seat helping your baby to sit upright, you then have the activity seat which is currently how we are using it. However when they get older, you can remove the foam support and activity tray and it becomes a booster seat. There is an additional set of straps included with the chair which enable you to attach the Summer Infant SuperSeat to a dining chair. I thought this was a fantastic feature. When Jack ate at his grandparents we would always struggle at meals times as he got older. He wasn't big enough to sit on a dining chair alone but kind of outgrew his highchair so this would have been great then. Also unlike when Jack was younger and we had a very popular chair, this one features a harness enabling you to secure baby in.

The only negitive thing I have found about this chair, and it may just be the newness, but removing and replacing the front part of the tray is a little stiff. I'm struggling sometimes with aligning them but again I think this is possibly just the newness.

We love this toy and it perfect to have something in whcih we can keep elsewhere for Isla to use, but also to take around if we need too. It's easy enough to keep clean with wipe able surfaces and easy to sterilise as there is no batteries or anything.

Please Note: We received this chair free of charge in exchange for an open and honest review. All views and opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway.
