Bambini and Me have released a new range of clothing which is very baby soft and made from ethically sourced bamboo. The fabrics are not only super adorable but ensure your baby has maximum comfort too. The range features different quirky prints in ages 0-18 months so not an overly large clothing sizing. Melissa, the founder decided to use bamboo for a number of reasons some being that is more breathable than cotton and helps control the temperature. It is also anti-bacterial and anti-fungal as well as being 100% sustainable.
From the range, we were sent two items, the bamboo swaddle and a short sleeved body suit.
The bamboo swaddle is priced at £15 and is very large being 120cm square. It is absolutely beautiful, swaddling is not something we do now as Isla is approaching one, however we still use swaddle blankets for other things. I love using a swaddle as a nursing cover when out and about as Isla loves to pull them off so with this larger one its perfect. We also use them as blankets and picnic mats when out and about.
This swaddle is machine washable and is recommended at 30 degrees which is what I tend to wash on. I've washed this a number of times now and the colour and quality has remained amazing and being a soft bamboo it dries really quick too so soon ready to use again. We have it in blossom with birds on although it comes in four other colours each with a different animal print on.
The short sleeved body suit is priced at £14.50 and made from a skin friendly bamboo blend of 70% bamboo and 30% cotton. The body suit has four poppers on the front diagonally across the chest and then two poppers underneath. The poppers were quite firm without being too difficult. It could be worn under clothing or with something to form an outfit. There was no label in the neckline so nothing that could irritate baby which I thought was brilliant.
Again, they are machine washable at recommended 30 degrees and they have washed and dried really well remaining as colourful as when we received them. One thing I would say about the sizing is they are quite slim fitting so possibly when you get to the large sizes to size up. Isla was sent a 6-12months and is currently wearing 9-12months and its a little snug fitting.
Overall, I really love this clothing range and its definitely one I would purchase from again. It would also be a range for any expectant parents for a gift as they really are lovely.
