A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood...
In the deep dark wood some new Gruffalo books were discovered.
But who is this creature with terrible claws
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws?
He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes,
And a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.
His eyes are orange, his tongue is black,
He has purple prickles all over his back.
Gruffalo Crumble and other recipes
This has been Jack's favourite within the new collection; he absolutely loves all things cooking and loves the gruffalo so combining the two made a perfect treat. Within the book are 24 different things to make all of which are fairly simple. Woodland salad, gingerbread mice and scrambled snake are just a few within the selection.
We made some of the fox's sandwiches but I forgot to take a photo and these went down a treat.
The recipes include lots of pictures and various different rhymes to make it all fun.
This was Islas favourite; with a lovely little button to press to hear the sound of the gruffalo. The board book is perfect for smaller hands with easy to turn pages and clear words for early readers.
The Gruffalo Puppet Book
A big hit with both children, they are always keen of puppet books. Again this is a board book so perfect for younger ones, and with clear font another perfect for early readers. Both of the children loved the puppet gruffalo and how he moved along with the story.
