King Rat was recently spotted at The National Sea Life Birmingham

It is of course pantomime season at the moment, although it is now drawing to a close. But, currently at Birmingham Hippodrome Dick Whittington is on. Staring within this pantomime amongst others is Eastenders very own Phil Mitchell, or Steve McFadden as he is better known. Within the Panto he is playing King Rat, but recently took some time out of his busy Panto schedule to visit the National Sea Life Centre with his family over the bank holiday.

The National SEA LIFE Centre spokesperson Chris Coventry said: 'We were delighted to welcome Steve and his family. They had a great time visiting the attraction and particularly loved our 360 degree Ocean Tunnel, the only one in the UK. It was however Molokai, our giant green sea turtle who Steve seemed to most enjoy. Perhaps they identify because Molokai is just as grumpy as his character Phil Mitchell!'

Joining Steve on stage in this year’s magical production of Dick Whittington are Torchwood and West End star JOHN BARROWMAN, comedy duo THE KRANKIES, West End songstress JODIE PRENGER and funny-man MATT SLACK. Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest panto producer, and staged by the same team behind Birmingham Hippodrome’s recent smash-hit pantomimes, Dick Whittington is the perfect treat for the whole family and features plenty of laughs, outrageous costumes, wonderful sets and scenery, and some amazing special effects.  See Steve starring as King Rat in Dick Whittington at Birmingham Hippodrome until 29th January.
