Imaginary play with Mr Kipling Tea Set | A Review

Isla loves imaginary play, she can be found stuck in her kitchen most days cooking up some sort of concoction which I'm then given to try. So, when we were offered this Mr. Kipling Tea Set to review, I knew it would go down a storm with her - because, is there anything better than cake?

The playset comes with four cups and saucers, four cake plates, four sets of cutlery, a milk jug, sugar bowl, teapot and a cake stand with a selection of Mr. Kipling's famous cakes. Including French Fancies, an apple pie, Battenberg and an angel slice amongst others.

The play set was really simple to put together, the hardest bit is getting the Mr Kipling stand to secure it properly as it required a little extra force.

This playset not only encourages imaginative play - which we've had plenty off, but also features a shape sorter style puzzle. Each individual cake has a shape on the bottom which corresponds to the correct area on the stand, matching them up.

Isla has loved working out where each piece goes, and the direction some need to go in. Some were simple such as the circle and squares, however, some required a little more thought.

I love the colours of the playset, they are very gender neutral and inviting for all children; it's perfectly aimed for both genders to enjoy whilst being very eye-catching.

The Mr Kipling Tea Set from Casdon retails for £11.99 and is available to buy from various different retailers. Its certainly been a huge hit here, with both children and I'm sure it would be elsewhere too.
