Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere Book Review

Tuesday, 13 October 2015
Jack loves reading, even more so since starting school. I've brought some items to make him a little reading area within the bedroom as we have too many books now. I always try to read books to Jack which are relevant and help to teach him things. With Halloween upcoming it would be a lovely subject for him; however its very rare you see Halloween themed books for younger children.
Well until we saw our September Parragon book, our book was called Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere and it was a great way for me to introduce Jack to Halloween and pumpkins.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere is a paper-backed book aimed at younger readers with short sentences on each page. Each page within the book has large, bright illustrations which Jack loved. It made telling the story and explaining so much easier. The story follows four trick-or-treaters on their journey to the Pumpkin Parade where there are many Pumpkins to see.

This year as Jack has started school he will possibly learn about Halloween a lot more than he has in previous years and I felt this book was a great gentle way to introduce it. As I previously stated, I enjoy books which are relevant to upcoming events and seasons and know others do too and think this is a great book to include.

Please Note: We were sent this book as part of our involvement within the Parragon Book Buddy Scheme. All views and opinions are our own and not influenced.
