Santa arrives at Sea Life Birmingham

Monday, 28 November 2016
At the weekend we went to visit the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham as Santa arrived there this weekend. Both children love visiting and seeing the different sea animals and to finish with a visit to Santa made it extra special.

Jack absolutely loves the penguins, and Isla has taken a liking to them too, so we spent a short while watching those before moving on to experience the other sea animals. Each time we visit there are more improvements and changes which have taken place.

During the festive season, the Sea Life Centre are showing The Polar Express within the 4D cinema. We didn't watch it this time as sometimes it can scare Jack and Isla is never keen on the effects, however we heard many people saying how good it was.

Next up was the walk through the ocean tunnel to hunt for the underwater Christmas tree, which Jack had fun looking out for and spotted lots of things within the large tank I don't think he has before.

Finally, before we headed home we had a visit with Santa, this was located just in front of the photo desk and soft play area.We had a wait a short while as Santa was busy feeding the reindeer when we arrived but this is just down to the timing. However whilst we were waiting we did watch the penguins which kept the children from becoming irritable.

I went up with both of the children to visit Santa as Isla wouldn't have walked up alone. Santa spoke with them both before posing for a photograph. We brought the one from the sea life, which was a nice keepsake. Both children had a small gift and a badge too.

We enjoyed our morning at the Sea Life Centre and our visit to Santa. The visit to see Santa along with the gift is included within the standard admission price which is always good. The event is running up until 23rd December, when Santa will need to return to the North Pole ready for Christmas.

Please Note: We are Sea Life Ambassadors and have annual passes.
