My Fairy Garden Magic Beans | A Review

Tuesday, 7 March 2017
Last year we created a little fairy garden with Jack and he absolutely loved it, each day he would take a look to see if the fairies had visited that evening. Recently Jack has taken a great interest into the story of Jack and the Beanstalk so when we were sent the My Fairy Garden Magic Bean Pot I knew he would love it, and I wasn't wrong.

There are two fairies available within the Magic Bean Pot range, Hope and Joy, we received Hope Fairy. Both sets are aimed at children aged 4 years and over and come complete with a plant pot, fairy, bird, spade and 2 magic beans.

Everything you need is included within the pack apart from the compost, so we headed out to the garden and put some within the small pot. Jack then used the little spade which comes with the set to dig a small hole before then placing one of the beans inside. He then covered the bean back up before giving it a little watering. As we don't have the best weather at the moment and we were planting before the recommended time (May-September), we left ours within the kitchen as its the warmest place for germination to begin.

It took around a week for the beanstalk to have a noticeable sprout, and another 2 days for the bean to begin fully opening. Our magic bean had worked with the help of a little fairy. Our bean is now a fair height, with the pod in which the seed was within beginning to loose colour and shape, which I think will fall off soon. We are looking forward to watching the bean continue to grow and maybe planting the other one too.

You can see the My Fairy Garden range below.
